Poem 029
A crooked road ran deep beneath her feet,
Where every shadow made the silence beat,
The past kept reaching fingers through the night,
Yet she kept moving toward a distant light.
She gathered every fragment she had known,
And built a throne from pieces of her own,
The ghosts could haunt the chambers of her mind,
But never choose the path she left behind.
